Adopted on the Fifteenth day of January 2004.
The Name of the Association is Coed Hirwaun Community Association (“the charity”).
The Charity’s objects (“the objects”) are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Coed Hirwaun, Margam and the neighbourhood together defined by the village boundaries (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
The Executive committee shall comply with their obligations under the Charities Act 1993 (or any statutory re-enactment or modification of that Act) with regard to:
(1) the keeping of accounting records for the Charity
(2) the preparation of annual statements of account for the Charity
(3) the auditing or independent examination of the statements of account of the Charity and
(4) the transmission of the statements of account of the Charity Commission.
